Quick definition · 2 min Builder & startup term

Rollback

A rollback is undoing a change by returning your app to an earlier version that was working.

Think of it like

The undo button for your whole project. Something broke? Go back to last week’s working copy.

Example

When the AI breaks something live, rolling back to the previous deploy is the rescue move, and most tools saved that version for you.

Why it matters

When things break, beginners do not know rollback exists, or that their tool quietly kept past versions they can restore.
