Quick definition · 2 min Coding term

Framework

A framework is a ready-made foundation for building apps, with structure and tools so you do not start from zero.

Think of it like

A house’s frame and wiring already in place. You decorate and arrange rooms instead of pouring the foundation.

Example

React, Next.js, and Django are frameworks. They handle the plumbing so you focus on your actual app.

Why it matters

Choosing and hearing about frameworks confuses almost every beginner. They are just opinionated starting kits.
